Many people spend hours and hours or even days, weeks, months to optimize their keyword density, page titles, internal linking and so on to improve ranking. whilst this is also important for good seo, the MOST IMPORTANT thing is how many relevant links you have pointing at your site from other websites. Try to do a couple of searches on Google for some big keywords (ex. free wallpapers, myspace generators, ringtones) Now try to copy any of the URLs found on page one into Yahoo search like this linkdomain:example.com.
For example I searched for “myspace generators” without the quotes and found this site http://www.myspacehun.com/, I pasted it into Yahoo like this linkdomain:http://www.myspacehun.com/ and pushed ENTER on my keyboard. Now to the exciting part, if you push “Inlinks” and choose “Except from this domain” it will show you all the websites containing a link to http://www.myspacehun.com/. I get 128,270 (Edit now: 239,910) links as of the time being, all of them are links helping myspacehun.com with ranking for the keyword “myspace generators” and maybe also some other keywords.
